Tri-Rat-Athon

Come have some fun rat hunting with your dog in 3 different style rat hunts. Each succesful rat hunt earns a qualification ribbon. Successfully rat hunting all 3 hunts earn a Tri-Rat-Athon ribbon. (This is not an AKC event and nor affiliated with any other organization)

1. Straw Hunt. Time limit of 2 1/2 minutes to find 2 rats in a straw layout.  3 additional tubes will be placed in this course with various odors. Your dog must also climb on the straw and go through a straight tunnel to successfully complete this hunt course. 

2. Urban Hunt. Time limit of 2 minutes to find 1 rat in a garbage and various household items (picnic basket, bucket, boxes, trash bin, etc.) setting. 2 extra tubes will be placed in this course with various odors. Your dog must also stay on a "place bed" for 10 seconds in additon to finding the 1 rat to successfuly complete this hunt course. 

3. Obstacle Hunt. Time limit of 5 minutes to guide your dog through various obstacles and find 2 rats in an outdoor setting. Rats are placed in a 12" by 12" wooden box, 8 boxes total. Out of 12 obstacles, your dog must complete 9 in addition to finding the 2 rats to successfuly complete this hunt course. Obstacles include: 3 lined up barrels for dogs to walk across the top, cross spool to top of barrel to spool, weave poles, ring jump, tunnel both ends open, tunnel with drape on one end, 4 bar jumps in cones, 2 small jumps, place square, small wading pool with water, A-Frame, teeter totter. You may use a food/toy lure or gently guide your dog with a leash. 

All participants will complete each level before the next rat course begins. Payment is due at time of reserving your spot. No refunds. Ticket price is per dog for all 3 rat hunts.
